Summer Music Series:

July 29th, 8p.m. - McPherson Community Brass Choir at the band shell

August 12th, 8p.m. - Della Enns piano concert at the opera house, 219 S. Main 

August 26th, 8p.m. - Jam Session at Sounds Great, 123 N. Main 

For all band concerts, bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Popcorn and cold water provided free, courtesy of McPherson Cinema Four and Culligan of McPherson.

At a brief break, drawings for food from McPherson Wendy's Restaurant will be announced. Please sign up upon arrival. A donation of $2 per adult is suggested. Admission is free, thanks to the sponsorship of NCRA, Wal-Mart, Edward Jones, the office of Gary Hess, Peoples Bank, and Sounds Great.

All donations contribute to the support of the operations of the McPherson Museum & Arts Foundation.  

June 1 - August 14 - "Living Traditions: the Culture of Native Americans": an exhibit from the Kansas State Historical Society with additional artifacts from the Museum.

August 31 - November 20 – Art exhibit: Photography by Ansley Simmons, an exhibit of
art photographs by a Georgia native.

Saturday, September 11, 7p.m. -  Museum Roadshow, opera house 
Pre-purchased tickets for dessert buffet & antiques assessment; silent auction of donated antiques & collectibles. Location: Opera House

Saturday, September 25, 3-5p.m. - Scotch Tasting, opera house 
Opportunity to learn about, and taste, a variety of brands of scotch to round out your Scottish Festival weekend.

Saturday, October 2, 6p.m. - A Night at the Museum
Live music, casual dinner, and something bizarre going on inside the Museum! Figure it out and win the grand prize! Pre-purchased tickets or tickets at the door.

Saturday, October 30,  6p.m. -  Tombstone Talks is a walkabout tour of the McPherson Cemetery, with stops at various graves to discuss their inhabitants.

Saturday, December 4: Christmas Open House: live music, refreshments, and the 1920s home decked out for the holidays; children’s activities, and a prize-drawing game for everyone.

Saturday, December 11: members-only Christmas Open House: refreshments, the 1920s home decked out for the holidays, and a prize-drawing game at the Museum’s Fields House, currently the home of the Museum director.
