Meet the Speakers:

September 20th, 2010, President Hal Hoxie:

Sometimes you just have to jump!

Why would an F-15 fighter pilot walk away from a 27 year flying career and move to McPherson, Kansas?
The answer is intriguing and risky. Come hear why serving as President of Central Christian College is just like flying F-15 fighter planes -- only without the parachute.

Hal Hoxie took office as President of Central Christian College on January 18, 2010. A 1979 graduate of Central Christian College, President Hoxie is a retired Air Force Colonel, most recently serving as the Division Chief, Programs and Legislation, in the Office of Legislative Liaison, stationed at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. During his military career, he had many opportunities for leadership, including serving as Missions Support Group Commander, Homeland Security Division Chief, Assistant Operations Officer at the USAFA, Squadron Commander, Executive Officer to the Air Combat Command Vice Commander, Executive Officer for the Athletic Director at the USAFA, Flight Commander, Flight Examiner, and Instructor Pilot. President Hoxie has earned three master’s degrees: an M.A. in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado, an M.S. in Political Science from the Air Command and Staff College, and an M.S. in Strategic Studies from the Marine Corps University. Since moving to McPherson, President Hoxie has joined the Rotary and has accepted speaking invitations for local organizations. Hal and his wife, Kathy, who is also an alum of Central, have four adult sons and six grandchildren.

Dad's Bankruptcy was a Great Gift

Keith Swinehart went from mail boy at a paint company to president of his own company. Through many revolutions, Keith turned a dream of being his own boss into the realization that in a successful business, the customer is the boss.
